The Phantom of the Opera (1925) T-Shirt 

“The Phantom of the Opera” is a 1925 American silent horror film adaptation of Gaston Leroux’s 1910 novel “Le Fantôme de l’Opéra.” Directed by Rupert Julian, the film stars Lon Chaney as the deformed Phantom haunting the Paris Opera House. His iconic, ghastly makeup was kept secret until the premiere. Released on September 6, 1925, the film terrified audiences with Chaney’s unmasking scene. Its haunting cinematography, precise sets, and moving yet frightening performance make it the definitive interpretation of Leroux’s novel.
